Key Functions, Accountabilities:
Safe and Reliable Driving Services.
Routine Vehicle Care, Maintenance and Readiness.
Use of Digital Tools and Tracking Systems.
Trip Documentation and Reporting.
Communication and Emergency Readiness.
Support Office Operations During Idle Periods.
Minimum Requirements
Education: A secondary education is required, along with a valid driver`s license and knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
Work Experience: Minimum two years of work experience as a driver (transportation, fleet management, logistics, field operations, vehicle maintenance, safety and security, administrative support, protocol, emergency response, travel coordination) in an international organization, embassy or UN system with a safe driving record is required.
Skills: Route planning, Record keeping, Communication, Cultural sensitivity, Teamwork, Problem solving are all required skills.
Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.
Desirables:Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).
Vehicle tracking systems, VHF HF radio operation, protocol experience, and mobility tool are considered an asset.
Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
