Position Overview


The Pharmacist will be accountable for dispensing medications, offering patient counseling, and ensuring regulatory compliance within a pharmacy environment.
Additionally, they will periodically oversee pharmacy operations and guide a team of technicians.

Primary Responsibilities

Medication Dispensing:


Examine and confirm prescription accuracy.
Prepare and distribute medications in accordance with legal guidelines.
Guarantee proper labeling and packaging of medications.


Regulatory Compliance:


Adhere to relevant pharmacy laws and regulations.
Maintain precise records of prescriptions and medications.
Monitor and manage inventory levels effectively.


Patient Education:


Provide guidance and education on medications.
Address patient concerns and inquiries.
Encourage adherence to prescribed medication regimens.


Pharmacy Operations Management:


Supervise daily pharmacy operations.
Guide and mentor pharmacy technicians.
Arrange staff shifts for optimal coverage.


Professional Development:


Consistently update knowledge of pharmaceutical advancements.
Participate in professional development programs.
Stay informed about new medications and regulatory changes.


Qualifications and Skills


Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) Degree from an accredited institution.
Valid pharmacist license in Nigeria.
Minimum 2 years of experience working as a pharmacist in a community pharmacy or clinical setting.
Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer skills and experience with pharmacy software systems.
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
Capability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
