We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Solar Technician
Locations: Abuja, Ikeja - Lagos, Ibadan - Oyo and Kano
Employment Type: Full-time
Core Responsibilities
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Test faulty solar inverters, charge controllers, and battery management systems (BMS) to locate damaged circuit board components.
Component-Level Repair: Desolder and replace defective PCB components including capacitors, transistors, MOSFETs, diodes, resistors, and microcontrollers.
Equipment Utilization: Operate specialized diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, function generators, and infrared thermal cameras to identify hot spots on boards.
Soldering & Rework: Perform high-precision manual soldering and surface-mount technology (SMT) rework under microscopes.
Preventative Maintenance: Clean boards, reapply thermal paste, upgrade firmware, and reinforce weak solder joints to prevent future failures.
Quality Assurance: Conduct load testing and post-repair simulations to ensure fixed boards meet original manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Documentation: Log all defect findings, components used, repair steps taken, and testing results in the maintenance database.
